The Gist

Cham and Whiteson explain what we do know about the universe's inner workings (which isn't a whole lot) and what remains a mystery (a hecka lot) in what I found to be a very non-physicist friendly way. Cute graphics and bad puns abound. Did you know that the majority of the mass of atoms is composed not mainly of neutrons, protons, electrons, quarks and whatnot, but the energy contained within the bonds holding these particles together? I sure as fat did not.


The Verdict

7/8 Major notwithstanding, I found this a fascinating and informative read.
