The Gist
Mlodinow gives us a comprehensive history of the human endeavor to understand the universe, from ancient history, to modern day quantum physics. The lives of famous thinkers, such as Newton and Einstein are examined within. Also, I learned it is possible to transmute mercury into gold - by bombardment with neutrons. Some overlap in topics with We Have No Idea, but less on the uber-recent theories, and more on how the less recent theories came into being.
The verdict = 6.5/8
A tad bit heftier and less accessible than We Have No Idea, but still interesting. I would have liked more on biology though.
